With this evolution in our technology, we’re also expanding our business model. We will shift from vertical integration to licensing the Nuro Driver to automotive OEMs and mobility providers. This shift reflects the industry’s maturation: vertical integration is no longer the only path, and the ecosystem is now ripe for strong partnerships.

Our new model will accelerate our customers’ autonomy roadmaps while significantly reducing overall development costs. By forming strategic partnerships across the automotive and mobility sectors, we’re bringing our technology to personal vehicles, ride-hailing services, and commercial fleets. We believe this is the most efficient and sustainable way for the automotive and mobility industry to solve autonomy.

This approach is powered by Nuro’s rapidly advancing software and hardware technology. Our expanded autonomy capabilities include both surface streets and highways, while our 4th generation Nuro Driver hardware enables up to Level 4 (L4), AI-first autonomous driving for multiple vehicle types at a dramatically reduced cost. This combination opens the door to L4 consumer vehicles, an incredible north star for the industry.

These advancements, coupled with our proven track record of over one million autonomous miles with zero autonomous at-fault incidents, also position Nuro as a top-tier technology provider with, we believe, the most efficient business model in the industry.
